Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) would like to thank Rotary Club of Singapore West, and their fellow sister clubs in Thailand Dhonburi (Bangkok) and Malaysia Pudu (KL), for selecting us as beneficiary for their tri-club project in March 2016.

The members of the Rotary Club also visited 3 families from RDSS on 5th March to offer their support to these families. During the visit, the families shared with the members about their struggles and managing of the child with rare condition at home. Although the families are facing tough challenges, they remained positive and cheerful. The members of Rotary Club offered words and encouragement and they also pledged to continue to support RDSS after this. Through their sharing, these families hope to raise more awareness for the rare disease community and also to help advocate.

A cheque presentation ceremony was held after the family visit and RDSS was honored to receive US$3,000 donations from the tri-club project by Rotary Club.
