In observance of Bereaved Parents Month, we hosted the “Legacy of Resilience” event, uniting nine families to honor and remember their beloved children. This gathering created a space for reflection, support, and unity among families who have experienced profound loss.
Ching Ling and Chiew Yi’s heartfelt stories resonated deeply, offering comfort and strength to everyone present. Their words exemplified the resilience and enduring love that binds our community. The presence of current families underscored the solidarity and support that defines us, reminding all that no one walks this journey alone.
A meaningful beading session allowed parents to create heartfelt tributes in memory of their children, fostering a sense of connection and serving as a beautiful reminder of their enduring legacies. Each participant received a vibrant stalk of Gerbera, symbolizing hope and remembrance.
As families left with renewed smiles and hearts touched by the day’s events, it was evident that their children are forever remembered. The Rare Disorders Society Singapore remains dedicated to supporting our families, ensuring the legacies of our rare warriors continue to shine brightly.
